Project Overview

This wooded White Bear Lake property needed a way to connect the main patio to a detached garden shed and a hidden seating area at the back of the lot. We designed a meandering natural flagstone pathway that winds through the existing mature trees and new shade garden plantings. The path widens at key points to create small gathering spots, and low-voltage lighting guides the way after dark. The shade gardens feature hostas, ferns, astilbes, and other plants that thrive under the tree canopy, creating a peaceful woodland atmosphere.
